STEAM: Design Thinking

Have you ever wondered how we built the Brooklyn Bridge, sent a human to the moon, or how your Bluetooth speaker connects to your phone? This year, students have been exploring such questions and incorporated every element of STEAM into projects and experiments in Ms. Young’s STEAM; Design Thinking class. Ms. Young beings her mechanical engineering background to York Prep, and has led her class in creating truss bridges, Rube Goldberg machines, and more.
