John Beich

Since 1999, Mr. Beich has been working with students, and his career and education have taken him to many settings, schools, and communities. He has worked with a wide range of student profiles.

His undergraduate degree is in Comparative Religious Studies and his Masters degree is in Learning Disabilities. From 2004 to 2018, Mr. Beich was a teacher and administrator in the middle school at Stephen Gaynor School. The last seven years he was the Director of Middle School at Stephen Gaynor.

Tracy Altman Warner

Director of Admissions

For many years, Tracy Altman Warner’s career was in retail.  She began as an Assistant and Associate Buyer of costume and silver jewelry at Bloomingdale’s and Tiffany & Co., only to then spend 10 years at her family’s jewelry company specializing in fine and estate jewelry.  Thanks to the influence of her mother (an English Literature professor who once did a student-teaching assignment at York Prep), Ms. Altman Warner eventually changed careers and became a fifth-grade English teacher at The East Harlem School.

Later Ms. Altman Warner went on to spend three years in admissions at Park Avenue Methodist Day School (PAMDS) before taking on her new position as York Prep’s Director of Admissions.  Besides the new challenges of her role here at York, Ms. Altman Warner has served on the Spence Alumnae Board for over 25 years in multiple capacities—heading various committees, organizing events/reunions, and working on three Capital Campaigns.

After earning her B.A. from Georgetown University, Ms. Altman Warner graduated from Stern School of Business, N.Y.U. with an M.B.A. Ms. Altman Warner is a native New Yorker and mother to three teenage girls who certainly keep her on her toes! In her spare time, she loves travel, languages, spinning, reading, tennis, and golf.

Lexi Hill

Lexi Hill is a native New Yorker graduating from Dwight School before attending Lehigh University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Education. After returning to New York City, she received her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Hunter College. Lexi worked as a preschool teacher before becoming the Director of Admissions at a therapeutic school in Manhattan in 2016.
Lexi has a strong belief in setting each student up for success by providing them with the best individualized education and support to meet all of their needs. Lexi joined the York Prep Admissions team in the summer of 2020 and is excited to help York Prep continue its success among the New York City Private School landscape.
In her free time, Lexi enjoys working out, watching tv, and spending time with family. Lexi also loves to travel and hopes to be able to enjoy some travel again soon.
