French Finale

For their final projects, Ms. Tabourin’s French students were given the opportunity to research the topics of their choice. They were given carte blanche to submit a presentation on any facet of French or Francophile culture or history.

After Ms. Tabourin approved each topic, the students got to choose the format for their presentations. The variety of media was astonishing and include films, youtube videos, Scratch projects, Google slides, beautiful illustrations with captions, blogs, and diary entries. Ms. Tabourin is so proud of her students and said, “My goal for all of my French students, particularly beginners, is to understand that studying a foreign language is integral to learning about different cultures and being able to respectfully communicate with people around the world. I am deeply proud of every single project that all of my students submitted this year. They did an incredible job during a surreal time of confinement, when they learned that by focusing on a topic that really interested them, they could surmount any difficulties to produce truly impressive works of scholarship and art.”
