Lindsey Young is from southern California. She recently completed her Bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering at the University of California, San Diego, and specialized in robotics and controls. In her final year, her research was focused on developing novel methods of engineering education.

Ms. Young is spearheading a new elective course at York, which is titled STEAM: Design Thinking. She is passionate about advancing curriculum in the field of engineering, and believes the problem-solving skills gained through design thinking can be applied to any subject. Ms. Young is very excited to be a joining the faculty at York Prep! In her free time, she enjoys cooking, backpacking, and tinkering with microcontrollers.
