Mr. Mancilla is a native of Los Angeles, California. While earning a double BA in Classics and History at Gordon College, Mr. Mancilla took a fellowship at the University of Oxford for a year in Late Antique and Byzantine Studies. He studied Medieval Studies at Central European University, continuing research with Syriac and Greek manuscripts before earning a second Master’s in Education at NYU.  He has taught for eight years around the world in Kenya, Cambodia, the United Kingdom, and France before beginning at York Prep. In his leisure time, Mr. Mancilla enjoys the opera, collecting antique jewelry, and cooking.
