Lane Choplin comes to York Preparatory School from Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked as a special education teacher at the Hillside Conant School from 2001 to 2014. In addition to holding special education certifications, he holds certifications in history, English, and political science. He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1998 with a degree in sociology and earned his teaching certification through the University of Georgia. Mr. Choplin is currently a Jump Start teacher in addition to teaching a United States history class. He is also a sponsor of the student run television program WYRK. In his spare time, he loves learning about history for its own sake.
