Ms. Victoria Pevzner is thrilled to share her passion for language learning and culture as an Upper School Spanish instructor at York Prep. Originally from Moscow, Russia but raised in Portland, Oregon, as a student, she became enamored with Spanish language and majored in Spanish at the University of Oregon. After finishing her undergraduate degree, she worked in an educational consulting company and later attained a grant from the Ministry of Education of Spain where she worked as a bilingual and ESL teacher in Granada, Spain for over four years. While living in Spain, she completed her M.A. in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Granada, Spain. Her Spanish teaching experiences includes Renbrook School in West Hartford, Connecticut and most recently Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn, NY. In her free time she enjoys visiting exotic locations around the world, planning trips and experiential activities for students, hiking, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, and spending time with family and friends. Fun Fact – Ms. Pevzner once walked over 150 miles from Portugal to Spain on the Camino de Santiago.
