What's My Type?

Mrs. Haberman’s 11th-grade AP Biology class recently learned about different facets of blood! They learned about how type is inherited, when the ABO blood groups were discovered, why it is critical for blood types to match during transfusions, and the significance of Rh factor. In order to help the students visualize the importance of blood type matching, they used kits to determine their own blood types. During this lab, they observed the agglutination occurring on the test. “The students definitely enjoyed finding out if they were A+,  A-, B+, B-, AB+, AB-, O+, or O-!” said Mrs. Haberman.
