Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
In October, the Affinity and Social Justice club held a celebration of Latinx culture in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Club members enjoyed a student- and faculty-made lunch of rice and beans, empanadas, piña coladas, and more while they watched the film The Book of Life. The ASJ club’s goal is to highlight and celebrate the many identities and cultures that students and faculty bring to York Prep, while also discussing and learning about issues relevant to our school community and beyond.
