On a lighter note, a word from our Headmaster, Ronald Stewart:

The TV drones on….”the real danger is for the over-70s…”. I change the channel. “The absolute killer of this epidemic is for the over-70s”. I continue to change the channel. “If you are over 70 you are in deep trouble.”

How nice! Can I make a statement on behalf of the over 70s? We are still alive! Some of us may be fitter than you younger striplings. I know that you will survive and you look at us pityingly, but we are still here. I completely understand the old man in the Monty Python skit about the Plague. “Bring out your dead,” the carter shouts, and younger men try and persuade an old man to get in the tumbril carrying the bodies. “But I am alive,” he says, "I feel like dancing”. Finally, telling him that he fools no one, they hit him on the head and throw him in the cart.

Well, I am still here! Aged but alive! Is there one TV channel that will tell me that if I socially distance myself and take sensible precautions, I might actually survive? NO! Listen to them; “Being over 70 is a very dangerous state to be in.”

Wait! I feel like dancing!
