All the Mandarin class students from 9th through 12th grade had a one-day field trip at Chinatown on April 4th.
They learned the lion dance and the culture behind that with the best Shifu at Bo Law Kung Fu. The students also learned to play the gongs, drums, and cymbals for the lion dance.
Most of the students had Hot Pot for the first time. They said the beef with Mala (spicy) broth tasted amazing! We had a scavenger hunt at Hong Kong Supermarket as is our yearly trip tradition. 9th grade won this year!
Before leaving Chinatown, we wrapped up this trip with a big cup of bubble tea. So satisfied!!!
