This year the performing arts team at York brought viewers two for the price of one with the annual fall production. Instead of only one play, students performed two spectacular short plays. With a total run time of just 60 minutes, these tenacious young actors packed quite a punch. Billed as “Two For the Ages,” each show promised viewers “two comedies, tons of actors, and lots of laughs” according to the playbill. The two shows performed Thursday, Friday and Saturday were Crushed by Don Zolidis and The Charmer, an original York Prep Workshop Production. “The second show was absolutely hilarious,” Principal Mr. Art Viscusi asserted after Thursday evening’s performance. Co-Director of College Guidance Ms. Janet Rooney favored the first show saying, “Crushed was cute!”
No matter their preference, audience members seemed to really enjoy themselves for Thursday night’s performances and the evening was a hit. According to Mrs. Stewart, every performance is sold out and the entire production should be considered a success. We hope you’ve already got your tickets because you don’t want to miss this cheerful night of comedic and charming theater. Stay tuned for photos and video from the show!
