This year’s annual International Dinner and Music Medley was a delicious display of diversity as well as talent. On Thursday, November 13th, faculty members, students, and their families, all gathered in the York Prep gymnasium for a night of foreign cuisine and musical performances. While sampling dishes like curry chicken, dumplings, insalata caprese, and arroz con pollo, the room was abuzz with the excited chatter of all in attendance.
After the eating was well under way, the room settled down for the evening’s entertainment. A parody of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” entitled “Rolling in the Cheese,” was written by one of York’s very own students and received quite a number of laughs. Renditions of “How are things in Glocca Morra,” “Another Hundred People,” “Eleanor Rigby,” and “It All Fades Away,” showcased the incredible voices of York students and a few faculty members. It was an event enjoyed by all and it’s success could only be attributed to the joint efforts of faculty, staff, students, and parents alike.
