Halloween at York Prep

With the fall weather settling in and jack-o-lanterns adorning buildings all over New York City, the time came for York Prep School’s annual Halloween costume contest. On October 31st students piled into the gym, year by year, splattered with fake blood or jewels according to the inspiration themes provided by their student government leaders.  From the seniors cloaked like caped crusaders to the middle school students that dressed like monsters, the festive nature of the holiday was at full force. Once all the costumed students were gathered and seating it was time for a show. After the magical performance of Gary the Great, who mystified all with the unbelievable feat of mind bending, the best costumes of the day were chosen. A great time was had by all ghouls, goblins, and witches in grades 6-12.
