Spanish teacher Ms. Pamela Mejia is organizing an amazing Spring Break trip to Peru through York Prep School hand in hand with Rustic Pathways. The program, which runs from March 18 through March 26, 2017, will be an international and educational experience. Interested high school students should get ready for nine days of eye-opening community service, cultural immersion, and adventure near Machu Picchu in Peru’s Sacred Valley. They will find themselves immersed in out-of-the-way villages near Ollantaytambo and working alongside the friendly locals on important service projects.
At a cost of $2,245, students get to be a part of a once-in-a lifetime opportunity. In addition to their service projects, students from York Prep will participate in a unique and authentic homestay in a rural village, spending time with local students, giving back to a community in need, exploring the majesty of the Andean mountains, and hiking ancient Incan ruins in Machu Picchu.
Please note that the deadline for the application is the 31st of October. For more information or to speak to a Rustic Pathways representative, please contact Sammy Gasci at firstname.lastname@example.org should you have ANY questions in regards to the trip.
