Digital Arts Students Curate Pop-Up Photo Gallery

York Prep’s Maker Space has turned into a pop-up art exhibit!  For the past few weeks, the 12th-grade Digital Photography students, lead by Ms. Shoshana Spencer, were asked to come up with an inventive curatorial display for an imaginary exhibition titled “What is Photography?” Each student assumed the role of a gallery curator and selected a collection of images that they felt met this definition. On Friday, each student transformed a different part of the Digital Art Lab into a pop-up photography exhibit in 30 minutes. While the temporary photo gallery has already been taken down, the creativity of our York Prep students is on display year round.
