New Digital Citizenship Curriculum at York Prep
York Prep is excited to implement a new digital citizenship curriculum to educate our middle school students in their use of digital technology. Our goal is to provide students with a developmentally appropriate framework to help them make responsible digital decisions. The curriculum will address issues that are related to academic schoolwork, but will also focus on social and emotional development.
We are eager to provide our students with this opportunity for growth and learning here at York. However, when using online technology the line between home and school is often blurred. Student actions at home can affect school life and vice versa. As a result, we hope to work closely with parents to further develop a culture of positive and powerful technology use. The sixth grade curriculum began in September, and the seventh and eighth grade curriculum will start in early October.
