Mark Hertko

Education: Monmouth College – B.A.; University of Illinois – M.A.; Pace University – M.S.Ed.

Mr. Hertko has been involved with environmental and public health issues for 14 years. Prior to coming to teaching, he worked at the National Academy of Public Administration in Washington D.C. specializing in the public administration of Federal environmental programs. Mr. Hertko holds a Masters in Science Teaching from Pace University in New York, and a Masters in Environmental Science from the University of Illinois in Springfield IL. He received his undergraduate degree, a double major in Biology and Environmental Science, from The Monmouth College in Monmouth IL. Mr. Hertko loves to help students see the simplicity of functions that underlie the complexity of living systems through visualizations and hands-on experience.
