Charles Kaczynski

Education: Miami University – B.S.; Northern Illinois University – M.A.; Catholic University of America – Ph. D.

After abandoning a position in finance, Dr.Charles Kaczynski went back to college, completed a teaching accreditation in the State of Ohio, and went on earn a Master’s degree in United States History. He served as a writer and editor of a history of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and as a project archivist at University Hospitals in Cleveland. Returning to college yet again, he received a doctorate degree in United States Immigration and Religious History at the Catholic University of America, defending his dissertation in October of 2009.

Before coming to York Prep, Dr. Kaczynski taught at high schools in Ohio, the District of Columbia, and East Harlem as well as in undergraduate and graduate programs at the City University of New York, Manhattan College, Pace University, Saint Francis College, and Saint John’s University. Outside of the classroom, Dr. Kaczynski is an avid photographer, cross-country bicyclist, fountain pen collector, and Doctor Who fanatic.
