Alexandra Gardiner

Education: Georgetown University – B.A.; NYU Institute of Fine Arts – M.A.; Bank Street Graduate School of Education – M.S.

Alex Gardiner teaches sixth grade Earth Science and Jump Start. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University, a Master of Arts from NYU Institute of Fine Arts, and a Master of Science in Education from Bank Street College of Education. Prior to coming to York Prep, she studied Special and General Education at Bank Street and taught students with learning differences at P.S. 234 and Stephen Gaynor School. She was a science teacher at Drake Bennett Summer School as well.

Alex is a long-time volunteer in the Education Department at the Morgan Library and Museum in NYC and Free Arts NYC in Harlem. As a Boston native, Alex loves the beach but also has a passion for music and theater in NYC and especially ice skating in Central Park. She loves art and science, visiting museums, volunteering, travel, and baking.
