Science 12: Honors Physics

The course in Honors Physics is designed to teach students the main ideas about how real objects behave in a physical environment. We expect that the student will gain both a conceptual understanding of physical events but also more significantly a capacity to complete mathematical descriptions of these events. We expect students will gain an appreciation of the power that mathematics can provide in describing and predicting how real objects will behave as well as the recognition that physical science is not complete without the model that mathematics provides. The course content will focus on motion and electricity and magnetism.
