Science 11: Advanced Placement Biology

AP Biology is an introductory college-level honors biology course, taken by students after successful completion of both high school biology and chemistry. The pace is equivalent to a typical college course differing significantly from standard high school biology with respect to the range and depth of topics covered, the kind of laboratory work performed by students, and the time and effort required of the student. Students cultivate their understanding of biology through inquiry-based investigations as they explore the following topics: evolution, cellular processes – energy and communication, genetics, information transfer, ecology, and interactions.
