College Guidance 11

This semester long course provides an opportunity for juniors to become acquainted and confident with the process of applying to college. In addition to filling out forms and a Student Questionnaire, there is also discussion regarding the elements of a great college essay. Each student will complete the short answer as well as one college essay before the class ends. The course also includes time for transcript corrections, registering for College Board, the ACT, and the Common Application, and requesting teacher recommendations. College Guidance juniors will also learn how to assess Princeton Review as well as the Naviance Program, and how to make productive summer plans including completing applications to Pre-College programs.
