American Sign Language II

American Sign Language II builds upon the foundation of Deaf culture, history, and education that the students have acquired during ASL I in order to enhance the students understanding of the D/deaf and ASL. Students will further develop proficiency in ASL conversation, communication and basic storytelling by vocabulary building, grammatical structures, and conversational proficiency. The use of instructional videos, film, and tactile games help to refine each student’s ASL skills and facilitate daily communication in the language and increases their potential for having meaningful interactions with the D/deaf.
