Steps to Applying

York Prep seeks motivated students who would benefit from our challenging and traditional private school curriculum. Our approach emphasizes independent thought and personal excellence in academics and activities.

Applicants are urged to apply by January 15 for February notification. Applications received after this date will be considered only if there is space in the grade to which he or she is applying. The application process is detailed below:

Fill out the application and send it to the York Prep Admissions Office along with the $50.00 fee.

Schedule an ISEE test date for your child. You may call 800-446-0320, or you may register online at www.erbtest.org.

Submit the transcript request form to your child's current school so that we may receive a copy of your child's academic record.

Submit teacher recommendation forms to teachers who are able to offer us a more complete picture of your child. We require two recommendations from academic teachers who are currently working with your child or taught your child last year.

Submit a graded piece of creative writing that your child has recently finished.
